Hey There, Planet Alba Family! 💌
Let’s get real for a moment. Social media—our go-to for connection, inspiration, and the occasional cat meme marathon—can sometimes feel like that overly chatty friend who keeps you from getting your work done. Relatable? You’re not alone.
Let’s dive into how we can enjoy the best of social media without letting it hijack our day.

Ever Caught in the Scroll Trap?
Picture this: You open Instagram to check one quick DM, and boom! Twenty minutes later, you’re watching a video on how to bake a cake you’ll never make. We’ve all been there.
It’s not your fault—social media is designed to grab your attention. But here’s the catch: when we lose ourselves in it, we’re trading focus for fleeting entertainment. The result? A pile of unfinished tasks and a brain that feels like mush.
Signs You’re in the Loop:
You reach for your phone without realizing it.
You lose track of time scrolling (we see you, midnight TikTokers).
Work feels harder because distractions drain your energy.
The Fix: Small Changes, Big Impact
Here’s how we can regain control without swearing off social media altogether:
🌟 Start With Purpose
Before opening an app, ask yourself: What am I here for? If you don’t have a clear reason, skip it. You’d be surprised how much time you save.
🌟 Mute the Noise
Turn off notifications for non-essential apps. Let’s keep our focus on what really matters—like that big idea you’ve been working on.
🌟 Make Time Work for You
Set a 20-minute timer when you hop onto social media. When the alarm rings, step back and take stock of your time.
🌟 Redesign Your Feed
Follow creators, pages, and communities that spark joy, creativity, or curiosity. Hit unfollow on the content that drains you—it’s your space, own it.
🌟 Create a Digital Detox Zone
Choose one part of your day—mealtime, mornings, or evenings—and make it social media-free. Trust me, your mind will thank you.

Here’s a little story. A few months back, I realized I was spending too much time on social media—not creating, just consuming. So, I decided to do something about it.
I started logging in with a purpose. I unfollowed accounts that didn’t resonate with me and replaced them with inspiring creators. Now, I use social media as a tool, not a distraction. The results? More clarity, less stress, and time to focus on what truly matters—like building this amazing community.
This isn’t about perfection. It’s about progress. Start small, stay consistent, and know you’re not alone in this journey.
Your Turn! 💬What’s your secret to managing social media? Hit reply and share your tip with us. Who knows—we might feature your advice in our next newsletter!
Until next time, keep scrolling smart and living sharp. ✨

P.S. Social media isn’t the enemy—it’s how we use it. Let’s create a balance that works for you. 💡
What I like is the hands-on approach this. Yeah my turn. I put my phone in a box after 7pm. Then it is literally a big effort because the box is on top of my cupboard and I need a chair to get to that box... so when it is in the box I don't even look at it in the morning because I prefer not to get out of bed before absolutely necessary :D
